NTC Thermistor probes are great because their applications are almost endless. The devices measure both liquid and temperature levels within highly complex industries (automotive, medical, and electronics). You can also find NTC thermistor probes in the design of green energy like wind turbines and hydroelectric plants. Meeting the demands of highly specific applications and requirements necessitates customization for the operations and devices they serve.
Often, a thermistor probe is simplistic: an NTC thermistor chip encapsulated with glass or epoxy. The device can instead be potted in plastic or metal for highly specific applications. When potted, the thermistor requires two high-temperature wire leads that are adequately insulated. Although NTC thermistor probes remain unseen, they help to make up the environment we see daily. The devices are in our cars, homes, and places of work. From making coffee to editing spreadsheets, there is almost nothing a thermistor cannot complete.
Thermistor probes are largely responsible for many of the modern innovations we have come to expect in cars and trucks. For instance, many of the electronic devices and computers in a car would not function correctly without these sensing probes. HVAC systems that run heat and AC rely heavily on the abilities of a thermistor probe.
NTC thermistor probes have proven to provide better braking systems for small-scale wind turbines within green systems. Traditional methods of stopping turbines often cause damage to rotors. NTC thermistors are responsible for monitoring the temperature of blades to ensure optimal performance of the whole system
