We Build Thermistor & Temperature Sensors

Thermistors | RTDs | Sensor Assemblies | Thermocouples

Sensor Scientific designs, develops and manufactures thermistors for automotive, medical, aerospace, industrial and scientific applications.

Sensor Scientific offers high accuracy temperature thermistor solutions, which meet and exceeds customers' requirements.

Sensor Scientific thermistor and RTD temperature sensors are globally recognized for excellent quality, reliability and fast-time response.

Sensor Scientific has been making thermistor sensors for nearly three decades; thermistors, assembly design, material and production management are performed from company headquarters in Fairfield, New Jersey, USA.

Sensor Scientific continues to make every effort to maintain and to improve thermistors quality by following ISO 9001 standards. This approach to quality and a fast response to customers ensures Sensor Scientific's leading position in the thermistors and RTD markets.

Sensor Scientific Inc. offers variety of high quality thermistors. thermistor material and chips are made in New Jersey , USA. Thermistors are everywhere…in cars, airplanes, air conditioners, computers, medical equipment, incubators, hair dryers, electrical outlets, digital thermostats, portable heaters, refrigerators...

RTDs, resistance temperature detectors, are usually made of highly pure platinum metal. Their resistance varies in direct and repeatable relationship to temperature. The operating temperature of an RTD is greater than a ceramic thermistor and the changes from one degree to the next are small compared to a thermistor...

Thermistor Assemblies

Sensor Scientific thermistor based assemblies are used in industrial analytical instruments, automotive air-conditioning systems, thermistors also monitor temperature of lithium-Ion power packs in hybrid electric automobiles. Sensor Scientific extremely low and high temperature rated RTD probes are suitable for industrial...

A thermocouple is made of two connected, but dissimilar, metal wires that produce an electronic potential directly related to a change in temperature. These changes in voltage are predictable and repeatable in relationship to the temperature. Thermocouples have a wide range in temperature but aren’t as accurate as  RTDs or thermistors...

What is a thermistor?

A thermistor is an electronic component that exhibits a large change in resistance with a change in its body temperature. The word “thermistor” is actually a contraction of the words “thermal resistor”.  Thermistors have definite features and advantages which make them ideal for certain sensor applications.
